Profile and Account Settings
Manage your personal Jetty account. Profile settings control how you appear to others, how you authenticate, and what data Jetty stores about you. These settings affect only you -- not your teams or organizations.
Navigate to: Profile from the main dashboard menu, or /profile directly.
Sections: General (name, email, avatar), Password, Security (2FA, sessions), Activity, Data (export, deletion).
Profile Information
Name and Email
- Navigate to Profile > General
- Update the Name or Email field
- Click Save
For email changes, Jetty sends a verification email. Your old email stays active until the new one is verified. You cannot use an email already registered to another account. Changing your email does not affect API tokens or tunnels.
If the verification email does not arrive, check spam, then use Resend Verification Email on Profile > General.
Avatar
Jetty uses avatars from connected OAuth accounts (GitHub or Google). To update, change your avatar on the provider, then log out and back in to Jetty.
Account Security
Password Management
To change your password: Profile > Password. Enter current password, then new password twice.
Password requirements: minimum 8 characters, mix of letters/numbers/symbols, unique to Jetty.
Forgot your password? Use the "Forgot Password" link on the login page.
OAuth users (GitHub/Google): You can optionally set a password at Profile > Password as a backup authentication method. Setting a password does not disable OAuth login.
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Adds a time-based code requirement from an authenticator app. See the complete guide: Two-Factor Authentication.
Manage 2FA status, regenerate recovery codes, or disable 2FA at Profile > Security.
Active Sessions
View all active sessions at Profile > Security, showing device, IP address, and last activity.
To log out other sessions: Click Log Out Other Sessions. This does not revoke API tokens.
When to revoke: unrecognized device, forgot to log out of a public computer, password compromise, or leaving a company laptop.
API Tokens
See the complete guide: API Tokens. Quick access at Dashboard > Tokens.
OAuth Connections
Jetty supports GitHub and Google OAuth. View connected accounts at Profile > General.
To link a provider: Click Connect GitHub or Connect Google and authorize. After linking, you can log in with either method. Your avatar updates to the most recently connected provider.
To unlink a provider: You must have another authentication method (password or second OAuth provider) to avoid lockout. Go to Profile > General and click Disconnect.
All authentication methods access the same account. Tunnels, teams, and settings are identical regardless of login method.
Notification Preferences
Configure at Profile > General or Profile > Notifications.
Available notifications: tunnel events, team invitations, billing, security alerts, product updates.
Cannot unsubscribe from: security alerts and billing notices.
Data and Privacy
Data Export
Navigate to Profile > Data and click Export My Data for a GDPR-compliant JSON download.
Included: profile info, organization memberships, tunnel metadata, token names/last-used dates, audit logs, billing history.
Not included: passwords, 2FA secrets, tunnel traffic content, API token values.
Account Deletion
Warning: Permanent and cannot be undone.
Before deleting: export your data, transfer organization ownership (or delete orgs you own), and revoke API tokens.
What happens:
- Immediate: logged out everywhere, tokens revoked, tunnels terminated, removed from team rosters
- Within 30 days: personal data purged, email freed, audit logs anonymized
- Permanent: subdomain reservations released, custom domains unlinked
You cannot delete your account while you are the sole owner of an organization. Transfer ownership or delete the organization first.
To delete: Profile > Account > Delete Account. Enter your password to confirm. Contact support within 24 hours if you change your mind.
Display Preferences
Theme: Jetty follows your OS light/dark mode preference. A dedicated in-app toggle is planned.
Timezone: All timestamps display in your browser's local timezone automatically (stored in UTC). No configuration needed.
Troubleshooting
"Email already taken" -- The address is registered to another account. Use a different email or contact support.
"Current password is incorrect" -- Check Caps Lock. Try password reset. If you signed up with OAuth, you may not have a password set.
Can't set a password (OAuth users) -- Profile > Password shows a simplified form with no "current password" field.
Email verification link expired -- Resend from Profile > General. New links are valid for 60 minutes.
Lost 2FA device -- See Two-Factor Authentication > Lost Phone.
Can't delete account (org owner) -- Transfer ownership or delete the organization first, then retry.
Sessions keep logging out -- Ensure cookies are enabled, try a different browser, disable aggressive privacy extensions, and verify device time sync if 2FA is enabled.
